Is it useful for you ?
Do you use it once an hour, a day, a week, a month,... ?
Do you prefer the php or the html database ?
Are you waiting for some other types of information in the database ?

Is it useful for you ?
-YES I've been looking for a good solid list that would give me the information I need to confirm that my games are what they say they are.
Do you use it once an hour, a day, a week, a month,... ?
-Just once so far
Do you prefer the php or the html database ?
-I haven't even tried the HTML version yet
Are you waiting for some other types of information in the database ?
-It would be nice if there was a guide on how to get the Serial Number from a pressed disc without creating an image then checking it with your region patching program.
I have a lot of games that are just a disc and I have no clue how to check the serial number and other info without first creating an ISO. |

Thanks for your feedbacks. I really appreciate them
For your request, I will try to develop this feature on SRP, but in the meantime you can use some external tools to do so : a hex editor capable of reading cd-rom or you can use CDRWin -> Sector Viewer option then check sector 0 for the most of the information like serial, version, date,...
I think Alcohol has also such a feature.
If you don't know how to use this feature of those tools, let me know and I will make a tutorial with screenshots. _________________

Your database is the greatest, keep up the good work!
There is something that would make it perfect, however: adding the TOCs from the CDs!
Like Necstasy does for PC Engine, it is of so much help! |

this is one thing i was thinking of, but i never had the time to implement it
Also, TOC is really useful for PCECD as the CDs don' thave standard structure. For Saturn CDs, it is different. The TOC must be useful only for the CRCs of each track, or do you need the TOC for something else ?
But I am thinking of something else which could be made in the future (I am just waiting for a good software which can do what I want). _________________

Huum, exactly... It is to take care with BYTE SUM algorithms!
Example, it is very common for people to put PREGAP plus POSTGAP options in the CUESheet. But this caused MAJOR PROBLEMs when reccording with different software out there! I got 5-6 games with tracks (AUDIO tracks) packed with junk because of this!
The problem occurs when they hit DATA tracks, thus beginning pure hell for emulation researchers! The TAOs (functioning to interleave / uninterleave data) Saturn likes to use are the principal victims! |
